My name is Misa. I'm 27 years old. I live in Seattle (Northgate area), with my cat, Parker, and my friends/roommates, Kate and Alex. I'm currently going through a divorce that is pretty amicable on both sides and, in fact, still talk to my husband, Jeremy, almost every day and see him once or twice a week. He's got custody of my other two cats, Joey and Parker.
I'm child-free by choice. In 2003, when I was 21, I got my tubes tied. It's probably the best thing I've ever done for myself. This doesn't mean I hate all children, nor does it mean I won't be your friend if you're a parent, it just means I don't have any kids of my own. If I want to hear the pitter patter of little feet, I'll just call my cat over.
I work for a cruise line, on the direct desk line, which means that I mostly deal with clients booking directly with the cruise line, rather than through a travel agent. For the most part, I like my job. Some days, it can get tough, but isn't that true with every job?
I have so many hobbies that it's ridiculous. I've tried to weed out a few but it generally doesn't work. I do a lot of various crafts, I write, I read, I draw. I also enjoy hanging out with friends. I love to cook and bake... I even went to culinary school for a while.
I enjoy playing video games and can be a bit of a geek about it, but I'm not obsessive.
I'm bisexual and polyamorous. I talk frankly about sex and sometimes post "adult" things, but this isn't a huge focus in my journal. However, if talk about any of the above bothers you, this probably isn't the best LJ for you to be reading.
Life's been shaken up for me lately. My husband and I separated in May 2009. I spent two months officially living at my mother's house, but crashing with Kate and Alex a lot. Now that we're officially living together, and I've got a room of my own, I can start getting on with my life. I'm not really sure where I'm headed, but I hope you'll join me for the ride.
